About this product

CholestaGuard Plant Sterols is supplied in tablet form, with 60 tablets per pack. A daily serving of 5 tablets provides 2000 mg of phytosterols, of which 800 mg is beta sitosterol, 300 mg is campesterol and 300 mg is stigmasterol.

The tablets contain microcrystalline cellulose as a bulking agent, gum arabic and cross-linked sodium carboxy methyl cellulose as thickeners, silicon dioxide and magnesium stearate as anti-caking agents, and vanilla flavouring. The label states the product is allergen-free.

This product is suitable for vegan and vegetarian diets.

Warnings

The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of at least 0.8g of plant sterols/stanols. Total dietary intake (from foods and supplements) of phytosterols should not exceed 3g (3,000mg) per day. Food supplements must not be used as a substitute for a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. If pregnant, breastfeeding, taking any medications or under medical supervision, please consult a doctor or healthcare professional before use. Not suitable for children under 5 years or pregnant women.
