It has a very powdery texture once mixed and it left a film on my teeth. This is probably the worst plant protein I’ve used!! Thought I would try since double coupon sale. Most reviews said this was either really good or didn’t taste good. The taste is pretty neutral. It’s the awful texture that got me. I will be throwing this out.

I have been searching for a vegan, unflavored, non-soy protein powder to replace the whey-based product I’ve been using up to now. I tried straight pea protein and could not tolerate the taste, which was like cold pea soup from a dry mix that no combining with fruit, chocolate, honey or anything else could disguise. I had high hopes for the Garden of Life one, because the reviews seemed so positive. However, this also tastes like cold pea soup from a dry mix, although the taste is not as strong. In a smoothie with plant milk, berries and a banana (the banana is crucial) it is not too bad. Bottom line: if you are looking for a protein powder that does not taste like anything, this one is not for you unless you are willing to doctor it up substantially.
