NOW Foods – Psyllium Husk
Excellent Source of Fiber
Soluble fiber from foods such as psyllium seed husks, as part of a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol, may reduce the risk of heart disease. A serving of Psyllium Husk Powder supplies 6 grams of the 7 grams soluble fiber necessary per day to have this effect.

Easily my favorite dietary supplement! More research continues to emerge on the gut-brain axis. Adding healthy fiber is a good way to support your digestion and improve gut support. I don’t notice the taste and you don’t get any additives. It’s just 100% psyllium (I like pure ingredients). I still notice the benefits of taking psyllium!

Being vegan for years, I thought I was getting enough fiber, but I was clearly wrong. I still had stomach problems despite eating better than before when I ate animal products. When I discovered psyllium powder from Now, I noticed a difference and it was great. When the Now type was out of stock, I tried other brands, but they didn’t taste good, the texture was rough, and it didn’t help me at all. I’m so glad I was able to get Now’s version recently since they’re back in stock. I’m happy again and I feel better.

Excellent source of fiber. I add it to mashed cauliflower after steaming for about 20 minutes in a pan. We do this to make vegetable fufu! It’s so delicious and the healthiest carb option we eat with our native vegetable soups. The quality of psyllium powder is unmatched

paid a lot more for psyllium husk powder, but it’s the highest quality I’ve found. The powder helps my sensitive gut and the powder and whole husk is great for anyone with gut issues. Combined with any juice (natural, no added sugar), it mixes easily and tastes great. The powder must be stirred and drunk quickly otherwise it will thicken too much. An easy way to add fiber and avoid any problems in the intestine. The 1.5 package is the one to get for the best value I think.

bought this product to make diet warabimochi, and it worked perfectly. Warabimochi is a Japanese dessert traditionally made with starch which tends to be high in carbohydrates. The idea is to substitute with psyllium husk to make a sticky/gooey mass so it’s low in calories and carbs and high in fiber. Here is my recipe. Combine 1 scoop of psyllium husk, 10 oz of water and 3 packets of Spenda in a small saucepan. Whisk vigorously. Heat over medium heat until mixture thickens, 2-3 minutes. Transfer the mixture to a container and chill in the refrigerator. Cut into bite-size pieces, sprinkle with kinako (toasted soy powder) and Splenda mix, and serve. Cocoa powder also works.

large amount of psyllium powder at a great price from a good company. The product is odorless and tasteless but has considerable health benefits. A little is added to healthy pastries, the amount is enough for a long time. Also, since the product absorbs liquids, you need to drink plenty.

Naturally high in fiber, hull powder can be taken as a fiber supplement or used in gluten-free baking. Went to low carb pancakes. I earn one week at a time. 3 cups old fashioned rolled oats (contains sugar but slow release) 1/5 cup Greek yogurt (high protein at 22g/serving) 6 eggs, 1.5 cup skin milk and a teaspoon of husk powder to keep it together. I like these pancakes more than normal now and they are much healthier.

am grateful to have been able to obtain some recently. I don’t know why, but NOW brand psyllium husk powder has been hard to find because it’s out of stock everywhere. I tried many psyllium husk powders before finding the Now brand, and in the meantime I tried a few others and couldn’t find a compatible product. I NOW prefer psyllium husk powder and if I can’t get it I will substitute Metamucil. for the reasons I prefer NOW, mixes easily with water and doesn’t stick to the bottom of the real clear (no plastic) small glass I use, doesn’t taste foul, easy to swallow and does the job for consistency…i haven’t been able to find a suitable/comparable product. I hope NOW psyllium husk powder will come back and stay in stock.
