NOW Foods – Peppermint Gels
Intestinal Comfort Formula
With Ginger & Fennel Oils
Enteric Coated
Peppermint Oil has been recommended for centuries by traditional herbalists for the support of healthy digestion. More recently, it has been found to support normal gastrointestinal function. NOW Peppermint Gels are enteric coated to allow passage through the stomach and release within the intestines where it can be helpful in providing relief from occasional minor bowel discomfort.

I have IBS and am experiencing horrible symptoms with bloating and wind. After taking this product, my symptoms are immediately reduced. I love that this product has both ginger and fennel oil in addition to peppermint in the ingredient list – those have other gut benefits. The product is cheap with great quality.

bought the peppermint gels to help manage my IBS symptoms and I really see an improvement. Even though I avoid trigger foods at all costs, sometimes in restaurants I still get the allergens in my meals, so this supplement helps me manage pain and bloating. This is a great quality product, just be sure to store it in the fridge, especially during the summer months.

purchased this product due to persistent digestive issues which I suspect could be SIBO. I take one gel half an hour before lunch and the same before my evening meal. They are soothing and help calm my stomach and there is less rumbling and growling. I will buy again!

These really helped control the nausea I was feeling from my IBS. I’m so glad I gave them a try! There’s no horrible taste and they fell off with no problem. I use peppermint in my hair and scalp routine, so it was a natural progression for me with peppermint being the main ingredient in these capsules. The quality of this product is fantastic. I will definitely be ordering again.

have purchased several bottles of this because it has been so effective in helping my family relieve bloating and digestive issues. A quality all round supplement and I love that the ingredients also include fennel and ginger. Suitable for all ages as I also give it to my son when we eat out. We only saw the improvement in our digestion within a few months. It tastes a bit bitter if you hold it without swallowing it in your mouth. Your stomach will feel minty after taking it, but it’s a nice feeling, so that’s not a problem for me. Do not hesitate to like me if you find my opinion useful.

don’t have IBS, but I had a lot of abdominal swelling, bloating and distension following a radical hysterectomy for cervical cancer. I was amazed at how much peppermint oil helps with this discomfort (which makes a big difference on my abdominal incision and helps me breathe much more comfortably). I hope the fennel and ginger help keep the bowel moving and digesting well – I certainly wouldn’t want to be without these gels right now, they have made all the difference to my recovery. I take them at least 15 minutes before eating as advised and have had no issues with heartburn.

About NOW Peppermint Gels, with Ginger and Fennel Oil, in my opinion and experience. For painful stomach cramps, bloating and gas, this works great for me when I have a flare up of IBS. It reduces the pain in about an hour. I take it as needed and as directed on the bottle. I started using it after seeing a medical study on the use of peppermint oil for IBS, it seems to help more than me for sure! It is enteric coated to dissolve where needed. It’s the only brand I’ve tried.

IBGard costs about $25 for 48 pills, with 90mg of peppermint oil. The Now Gels contain about 160mg. So each gel has just under twice the oil of the IBGard pills. Pricewise the IBGard pills are about $0.50 and the Gels are only $0.10. So per mg the Gels are about 10 times cheaper.
They both contain basically the same oil but the Gels don’t stink as much of peppermint so one has to assume that the enteric coating onthe Gels is stronger than that of IBGard.
These are just my observations,, but it seems to me that you are paying for the name with IBGard. And the Gels are easier to swallow.

take one capsule 4 times a day: at sunrise, at breakfast, at lunch, at bedtime. Along with Triphala capsules and pau d’arco capsules, this supplement eliminated my bloating and made me regular. My intestines are now “normal” and reflect my healthy diet. Prior to this combination, my bowels could be very loose and/or miss one to several days and/or huge bowel distention (looking pregnant at bedtime). All 3 work together, as dropping any of them causes problem(s) to return. I take 1 peppermint 4 times a day, 2 pau d’arco 3 times a day, and 1/4 tsp triphala powder 3 times a day. Massive improvement as a result of this.

It seems to help calm my stomach. I used to take Colpermin abroad, but it’s not easy to get in Canada it seems. You can get it on Amazon, but it will take some time to ship and I decided to explore an alternative with the main ingredient – peppermint. I tried another version – Heather’s Tummy Tamers Peppermint Oil Capsules and I think I prefer this version.

bought it on the recommendation of my gynecologist, because I have endometriosis. I’ve been using it for a few weeks now, I understand it might take longer but I don’t feel bloated in the evening (that’s when I usually feel the symptoms). A lunch before and a second dinner before. I used to use hormones for my endometriosis, but I really want to continue using natural medicine. So far so good Please give it a thumbs up

I take this product twice a day before a meal and finds it improves my digestion greatly.

Similar to the results that I get with Heather’s for a fraction of the price.

It says you have to take it 30 minutes before a meal which is hard to calculate and sometimes I forget. Feels a little better but not sure yet, I will continue to take it.

I ordered this for a friend who now has to keep a bottle on-hand at all times.

I have taken these for many years and continue to benefit when having digestive upset. It’s best to take these regularly to avoid the digestive problems. They leave pepperminty taste along with ginger and anise. Better alternative to acid reflux.
