NOW pleasant tasting Nutritional Yeast Powder is produced from a specially selected strain of Saccharomyces cerevisiae. This yeast is grown on enriched purified cane and beet molasses under carefully controlled conditions. This is a primary grown yeast and is therefore NOT a brewery by-product as is brewer’s yeast. This ensures freedom from Candida albicans yeast.

Other ingredients:
Dried Yeast, Niacin, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride (B6), Riboflavin, Thiamin Hydrochloride (Thiamin), Folic Acid, Cobalamin (B12). Not manufactured with wheat, gluten, soy, milk, egg, fish, shellfish or tree nut ingredients. Produced in a GMP facility that processes other ingredients containing these allergens.

Recommended use:
Take 1 level tablespoon daily mixed in milk, fruit juice or vegetable juice. It can also be used in vegetarian recipes or added to protein shakes to boost nutritional content.

The flaky type of nutritional yeast is great for sprinkling things on, but it has its own uses. I love adding it to some of my cheeses (try Schoolnightvegan’s mozzarella – it’s awesome) or pasta sauces. Most commercial vegan cheeses are protein free, so if you have protein goals to meet, making your own cheese with this is a good option for adding protein. You can also use the puff version to give the added protein a cheesy flavor. 5 grams of protein for 40 calories is honestly pretty good for me, from a healthy, natural source. PS Before I had any protein goals to hit, this was sitting on the shelf with another for months. This brand stayed perfectly fine while the other was infested, so I trust the quality of this one.

I often need B vitamins. This particular brand of nutritional yeast offers the highest amount of B1 that I have seen on this site. It is very compatible with low carbohydrate diets and is also an excellent source of potassium. Since taking it, I have noticed an improvement in the quality of my sleep. I like to take it just before bed, with enough water or oil to make an edible, not too thick paste. It has a nice cheesy flavor that way.

If you’re looking for high quality nutritional yeast powder at a great price, look no further! I bought this superfood for my dog’s homemade dog food supplement recipe. It is a very fine powder that is easily incorporated into the other ingredients of the recipe. Lots of health benefits – it’s a “super food” rich in antioxidants. I used to use the flake version of nutritional yeast before, but this powder form is also good. Simple ingredients. Quality and taste seem high. As a vegan, it helps add some depth of flavor to tofu scrambles or Spanish tortilla. We even use it as a topping for popcorn, which is quite tasty. It’s expensive but the size is quite good. This is my second bottle.

Dissolves really well and smoothly. Extremely versatile and can be added to anything. I actually switched from Bragg’s nutritional yeast to this one due to the packaging and size. the packaging is really secure, and I was able to keep it for a long time. This is the best value nutritional yeast I have found online. It tastes really good when mixed with salt and spices to give a cheesy taste as well.
