NOW Foods – Lanolin
– Protects Chapped Skin.
Condition: Skin in need of protection from wind burn and environmental factors.
Solution: Pure Lanolin is a powerful, natural moisturizer that can promote the smoothness and translucency associated with healthy, youthful skin. Derived from the wool of sheep, lanolin is remarkably close to our own natural skin oils and has a texture that is similar to petroleum jelly. It is perfect for use on very dry, rough or chapped skin.
Lanolin Recommended Use:
For deep moisturizing and protection, generously apply to areas where skin is severely dry, chapped, or may be exposed to a harsh environment. Reapply as needed.

With my riding experience, we have used lanolin for many reasons including wound and leather care. I’m so glad I found this product that has no other added ingredients. My feet are now the lucky recipients of their well-deserved calluses. This NOW Lanolin is easy to apply and absorbs long before my socks come off in the morning. There is no smell and no residue left, and more than met my expectations.

Good to use in Winter. I have used this for the several years and it’s good protection for dry chapped hands during dry weather season. When you first use it you have to rub in well. I use this before bed and my skin eventually absorbs it. Good for dry heels too. Has no fake fragrance either.

Due to frequent hand washing and bad genetics, I often have problems with dry skin. I have tried other hand creams that have lanolin but not as the main ingredient. This pure lanolin was the only product that healed my dry, cracked hands, and it healed them within a day. I found it worked best when applied at night. I would also suggest covering the problem area with gloves or a cloth, as the texture is very sticky/messy; almost the consistency of Vaseline. All in all, this is the go-to cream for keeping my hands hydrated in the winter. High quality with remarkable benefits

I’ve heard it’s great if you want a thick alternative to Vaseline or lipstick, the smell is interesting but not overwhelming. I put a thick layer on my face and hands at night over my face oil and it helped a lot with the dry skin. No rashes, the Now brand is always of excellent quality. Thanks

I think it’s a must for every breastfeeding woman. I have also used it for fabric soaps, to waterproof woolen blankets. You take a full teaspoon, dissolve it in a cup of water and a few drops of soap. Then you dissolve this mixture in about 5-10 liters of water and soak the wool blanket in it. It is now ready to use!

Can protect your skin. Especially in inflammation.

This is great; I put jojoba oil on top and mix it in when I’m ready to use. Works perfectly. Good for feet, elbows, knees, hands, feet, (ankles esp), face

I love this. Unlike most lotions this does not actually dry out you skin so you will use more. Nothing that I have found compares. Like Brill Cream a little dab will do ya.

First use. The smell is ok, not too strong, the size is very big and I don’t know when will I finish it. I use it on all parts of the body, even for dry feet as a moisturizer and it’s great! I haven’t started breastfeeding yet so I haven’t tried it yet.

I initially bought this to add to a dyi lip balm I was trying to make. I was having so so results. However when I used this lanolin straight on my lips I was very happy with the results. Im using this at night to keep my lips protected. Saves tons of $$$

had a terrible time with my creaking heels. I use a little lanolin on it before bathing and my problem goes away. I also had great success putting it on and wearing wool socks all night. There is a big difference in the morning. It smells like mutton – but I really like it. It’s such a natural smell. The now brand has a nice consistency.

This is great stuff. Best lip balm out there, I use it every night (and the tub is enormous!). Also way cheaper than the stuff you get in tubes marketed to new mothers, but exactly the same stuff! also great for really dry skin in other areas. Apply a lighter, more hydrating lotion first and then put this on top to keep the good, hydrating ingredients locked in for longer.

Lanolin is one of my favorites! It has multiple uses, it is perfect for breastfeeding! no need to wipe it off before breastfeeding as it is safe for babies. Also great to apply before pumping to keep the area hydrated. I also apply it to irritated skin, it helps soothe and hydrate. I also use it as a lip balm.

This is very stiff at room temperature, so I either warm it up with a hair dryer or mix it with lotion. It really seals the skin and protects it from drying out–especially from chlorine. I use it on my legs, hands and elbows, which seems to tighten up the loose skin and also makes me irresistible to dogs and cats.

200g will last forever. It is so thick that you need a small amount each time. But it’s only thick in the pot. I find it quite easy to spread on the skin. And you almost don’t feel it afterwards. Be careful, it smells of sheep. The smell disappeared after a month or more. I mean the product itself smells less and less the more times you open the jar. I would recommend mainly for dry and rough skin. Like my husband’s hands when he works metal and wood hahaha

The benefits for my skin with lanolin are amazing. It has a heavy gel type texture. I use it wherever my skin is really dry. It has a lot of smell. It comes in a large jar. I use it somewhere on my skin every day. It’s great for calluses. It softens very dry skin. A little goes a long way. It takes care of all skin problems.

I find this to be the perfect substitute for vaseline. I put some in empty containers stashed various places like by my bed to use as a lip balm and for moisturizing hands, face, and feet. Usually, I put a lighter layer beneath, some combination of aloe vera and an oil such as unrefined sesame. Then this lanolin on top. It provides the perfect layer to prevent dryness and keep everything protected. For lips, I put some in an empty plastic squeeze tube and carry it in my purse. This jar will last me quite a while.

I’m so happy to have discovered the magic of lanolin that I can’t help but recommend it to everyone! I discovered lanolin looking for a solution for my permanently dry lips. This product leaves my lips completely hydrated and soft, it’s the best thing I’ve ever tried! Plus, it’s tasteless and odorless, which I think makes it perfect for being something you’re going to wear on your lips all day. It leaves a glossy effect on the lips which I personally love and I use it with my makeup. The bottle is large and will last you several months depending on how you use it, a small amount of product is enough.
