Borage Oil is a nutritional oil consisting of 60% Polyunsaturated Fats and approximately twice the average content of Gamma Linolenic Acid (GLA) as Evening Primrose Oil. GLA is an essential fatty acid that the body is able to produce from dietary linoleic acid; however, it can be more efficiently utilized for body functions when supplied directly through dietary sources. Research has determined that Borage Oil does not have harmful levels of Pyrrolizidine Alkaloids (PAs). NOW® Borage Oil is expeller-pressed and hexane-free.

There is a statement that oral and topical administration of GLA has been effective in reducing the symptoms of a large number of skin disorders, including dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, and acne, as well as reducing redness and erythema due to UV rays and improve wound healing. This is my first time using borage oil. Usually I get evening primrose oil, but I did some research and found that for my age the ingredients are stronger for this purpose. I take it for my women’s health issues as well as for weight control. These capsules are quite large, but slide easily with a drink. The quality of NOW products is always good and the Omega benefits are a plus.

Good quality. the main ingredient is concentrated GLA. I was going to take evening primrose oil. But this has a lot more GLA for a lower price. I mainly use it to reduce inflammation and help dry skin and shine and hair growth. of course, it is also very beneficial for heart health. Tasteless. a little thick like fish oil, but a tight, easy-to-swallow gel. Good product.

GLA is an important fatty acid, especially if you have skin or hair problems. There is no need to buy other brands with a 1200mg capsule as they have no more GLA than this one. Honestly take this brand. The GLA concentration is most important when comparing the price of borage oil. The capsules are large but easy to swallow. They look like Omega3 capsules. The price is good. The bottle is large but I would appreciate a 6 month bottle.

The title says it all. I suffered from dehydrated but oily skin for a very long time and was so frustrated with one non-performing skincare product after another. So I decided to try the GLA because I read that oily skin lacks it. It works but slowly after a few months as I think it has gradually calmed down the inflammation in my internal system. The capsules are tasteless and for the price you pay you get a quality product that provides the omega nutrients needed for heart and skin health that our modern diet lacks. Borage oil has several benefits: it is good for the hair, improves the skin and helps reduce inflammation. The package contains 60 pills and for me it is enough for 2 months. The taste and size of the pills are good. As with other NOW supplements, you get great value at a low price
