Bone and arterial health
Vitamin K helps maintain bone density by facilitating the transport of calcium into your bones. Vitamin K also supports normal function of a protein called matrix Gla-protein (MGP).2 MGP helps regulate how calcium interacts with your arterial walls. So in addition to facilitating calcium transport into bone, vitamin K helps promote a healthy calcium balance in your arteries as well.
Clinically studied health benefits
The Rotterdam Heart Study is a large-scale clinical study. One report from this study involved 4,800 subjects tracked for seven years. It revealed that people who consume more dietary K2 have healthier cardiovascular systems compared with people who consume lower amounts.

Vitamin K1
The most common form of vitamin K, known as K1, is tightly bound to plant cells in leafy green vegetables. Not only do many people not enjoy these vegetables, but vitamin K from these sources may be poorly absorbed.
Vitamin K2
In contrast, vitamin K2, which is found in small amounts in cheese, egg yolks and some meats, has been found to be up to 6 times more bioavailable than K1, and to remain active in the body for a longer period of time.
The MK-4 form of K2 has been shown to be rapidly absorbed, but to only last in the bloodstream for a short time. MK-7, on the other hand, was demonstrated to stay available in the body for up to 48 hours, and at much higher levels. And our MK-7 is made from a unique bio-fermentation process.

have been taking vitamin K for many years, with some interruptions. During this time I had several toothaches and the vitamin K recovery disappeared each time! I take extra Vitamin D3 and Magnesium Bisglycinate as well as Vitamin A and E. I switched to Life Extension Super Vitamin K a few months ago because I liked that it also contains menaquinone-7 trans. Admittedly, it is in very small quantities, but that is understandable since it is much more expensive than the other two forms it contains. My other consideration is that it has no additives, unlike many other (Life Extension) products (also). I really liked this product because it’s small, easy to swallow, and because I much prefer soft gelatin capsules to cellulose sachets, often with added silica and magnesium stearate. Additionally, liquid supplements have a much better biological utilization than those in the form of capsules or powdered tablets in general. They are also very good value for money. I’ve already filled it up.

Vitamin K2 (not only or only vitamin K1), minimum about 180 to 360 micrograms (ug) per day, after breakfast. Important: Ideally full-spectrum vitamin K2, containing one or more menaquinones (e.g. MK-4, MK-7, MK-9, etc.). Always combine vitamin K with vitamin D supplements. These two substances work synergistically. If you are taking blood thinners (blood thinners), contact your healthcare professional first before taking vitamin K.

Super K is super good on my keto diet, we do it with the first meal every day Definitely the quality is good, the size is easy to swallow. I bought this as part of my keto supplement, and the ingredients seem carb free to me, supporting bones and teeth, I will be repurchasing!

This is a higher dose of vitamin K which can be helpful for heart condition and gets calcium into your bones instead of your arteries – which isn’t where you want it. Always read the label for warnings etc. Do not take if you are taking blood thinners. It’s good to be educated.
