What is Doctor’s Best Fucoidan?
Doctor’s Best Fucoidan 70% enhances the immune system function and provides antioxidant protection. Fucoidan contains a gluconutrient fucoidan derived from brown algae. Seaweeds are a part of the diet in many cultures and fucoidan-containing species have been used traditionally for a variety of therapeutic purposes. Fucoidan contains an abundance of immune-modulating polysaccharides. These unique and complex sulfated polysaccharides are not found in land plants, and have been shown to mediate a variety of significant biological effects on mammalian cells, such as significant antioxidant activity.
How it works?
Cell walls from marine algae contain an abundance of sulfated polysaccharides. Fucoidan is one class of these polysaccharides found in brown seaweed. Polysaccharides are known to have various effects on immune enhancement and possess other biological activities, such as significant antioxidant activity. Fucoidan may play in the stem cell-induced repair of cardiovascular damage. In mice studies Fucoidan was found to have anti-metastatic activity. For centuries fucoidan containing seaweed was often compared to “new mother’s milk” in that it helped ‘jump start’ infants , i.e., it gave similar healing abilities as breast milk.
