Quercetin is a non-citrus bioflavonoid that works in synergy with Vitamin C. Bioflavonoids are naturally present in fruit, vegetables and herbs, and are a class of powerful phytochemicals. They help maximise the benefits of Vitamin C as they prevent the breakdown of this immune supporting vitamin in the body.
Exclusive to Solgar, Quercetin complex is a proprietary formula and contains additional natural plant bioflavonoids, powerful antioxidants that naturally accompany Vitamin C in fruits and vegetables. This complex is a unique formula that utilises a premium patented, non-acidic, form of vitamin C, Ester C known as “The Better Vitamin C”. Well, here you have a very good quercetin supplement! Added to this is a very available rare and expensive form of vitamin C – ester C. Added to this are other bioflavonoids. I save this one for colds, flus and any other respiratory illnesses that might plague me. If I had a loved one working in an office right now, or a kid going to school, this is a supplement I would make sure they take; as well as a quality zinc and vitamin D supplement. (Try this combo during cold/flu season – Solgar Quercetin complex, 5000iu Vit D from a reputable supplier and a quality OptiZinc supplement… you’ll probably feel untouchable!)

Great brand for quality ingredients. The size of this pot is just a bit too small, I prefer to order the larger size. It is a tremendous antioxidant and immune booster. It’s great for inflammation especially associated with allergies for me. I gave up taking Zyrtec and am using it instead. It works for me, my doctor explained to me that it works for some people, not for everyone. The added ester C and bromelain help digest it. You should definitely take it with a meal.

I finished that bottle and started this one and let me tell you within days the itchy throat was gone! have been taking quercetin for many years. I like the Solgar brand and have tried it. Quercetin is essential to help use the zinc you take. But I’ve been taking it for years because I had horribly itchy skin and a naturopath I saw suggested it to reduce inflammation. Well at the time I was scratching until I bled around my ankles and after a few weeks of quercetin I stopped scratching so much. Eventually it all healed and it’s been years now, and every time I stop taking it, the itching comes back. I also take it with zinc and even though I have an autoimmune disease I rarely catch a cold or the flu. I will never be without quercetin and this even has an extra boost of C so it’s even better than my old brand.
