Willow is a shrub with a long history of traditional use. Modern scientific researchers have identified numerous compounds from its bark that contribute to its bioactivity. Of these active compounds, Salicin is best known for its support of the body’s healthy response to normal physiological stress. In addition to Salicin, polyphenols and flavonoids have also been found to contribute to its activity. NOW Willow Bark has 15% Salicin plus a natural balance of other bioactive compounds that may gently help to temporarily relieve minor pain caused from overexertion and typical everyday stress.

Other ingredients:
Bovine Gelatin (capsule), Magnesium Stearate (vegetable source) and Stearic Acid (vegetable source).
Not manufactured with yeast, wheat, gluten, soy, milk, egg, fish, shellfish or tree nut ingredients. Produced in a GMP facility that processes other ingredients containing these allergens.
Recommended use:
Take 2 capsules 1 to 2 times daily as needed with food.

took them mainly for women’s cramps. I haven’t tried it for headaches or other pain. I get really terrible cramps sometimes and these seem to help me a lot. Sometimes I also take a pharmacy drug which I try to avoid unless I have to, but these even seem to improve that. I consider this one as one of the MUST HAVE supplements. I don’t take it every day, only when I need it and it’s even good for that kind of immediate use, unlike some supplements that you have to take regularly. It takes about 1-2 hours to start. So depending on your usage and needs, you may have different results, especially if you take them daily, but I think the quality and potency of these are really good. I also have the Solaray Willow in rotation and that one is a bit softer, but just as good. I’m really happy to have a natural pain reliever because I don’t like to take over-the-counter products if I don’t have to. Really impressed with the willow!

This is a very high quality NOW branded product! I’ve sometimes had to settle for other brands (when I ran out and had to try something from the store before my Ecosupplements order shipped) and they never provided the same benefit that now. I’ve been taking willow bark extract for years (along with boswellia extract – also a NOW product!) for arthritis pain, with great improvement in my pain. Highly recommend! For the record, I do a LOT of research before incorporating any herb or supplement into my daily diet. White willow bark has been used for centuries, and for good reason. Be careful though, because WWB has properties similar to factory-made aspirin found on store shelves (hence its ability to relieve pain). Please research as needed for your own individual needs and use as directed.
