take magnesium citrate to relieve constipation. I have tried the powder version, the tablets and the vegetable capsules. All were Now products, I believe. This product is not pure magnesium citrate, even though the bottle says so. Perhaps the combination of ingredients in this product is what makes it work well for me most of the time. Softgels are super easy to swallow. The directions say to split the dose. I think that makes a big difference. I used to take it all before bed. I currently take a total of 8 capsules per day, split between breakfast, lunch and dinner. I have been using the product for about 3 months. So far, I highly recommend.

Not a good product. The oval gel caps are huge and hard to swallow. And it’s hard enough to take one but it takes 3 to make 400 mg. Not worth it.

I have energy problems and difficulty falling asleep. I discovered the benefits of trace minerals and found this magnesium supplement. I’ve been taking it for 3 months and need fewer naps these days. I prefer this brand because it is in capsule form and easier to swallow (I tried another brand in tablet, not finished because too hard to swallow).

Very good form of magnesium. This magnesium is easily absorbed, in a liquid base with chelated forms for superior bioavailability. The mixture of citrate, malate and glycinate absorbs very well, so it can provide more benefits to our health compared to other forms of magnesium, for example magnesium oxide. The capsules are quite large, but for me not difficult to swallow. Could be higher dosage in one capsule, so it would not be necessary to take 3 capsules per day, this is the only downside of this product.

I’m sorry, but I don’t understand how the reviewers have said these are easy to swallow. The softgels are 1 and 1/8 inch long and 3/8 inch thick. I was aghast when I opened the bottle, and wonder how one could take 3 a day!! Just looking at them makes me gag! Any suggestions on how to utilize these?

The gel cap makes them slide down the throat. The bottle size (number of capsules) is great because they don’t need to be ordered too often.

have been using these capsules for a long time. For some reason they seem to work better for me than other formulations. I am a young stroke survivor with a life to live and another stroke center survivor recommended magnesium because it really helped with his spasms. It’s amazing for that, although I had to increase the dose which my neuro confirmed a lot of people were using to not have any gastrointestinal side effects. As a bonus, it made a huge difference in my post-stroke migraines. I forgot to go and buy more and thought maybe I didn’t need it anymore so I stopped taking it. Boy was I sorry!
