St. John’s Wort plant has long been used for its serotonin reaction properties and is a mild ssri inhibitor. I read that she reacted even with gaba in the brain. For me, it has positive effects on mood. After 2 weeks, I was less responsive for a day to my triggers that normally caused me to have anxious thoughts and overthinking. Using NOW Astragalus with Black Elderberry provides a little extra protection during cold and flu season, so I’m adding it to my regimen.
