This means you sleep faster and stay asleep until morning. 1mg is a sufficient dose as nothing more than that is neither necessary nor advisable. The tablets are small in size, tasteless and with quality ingredients, which benefits a lot. Don’t take it too late at night (after 10 p.m.) because you’ll be groggy in the morning.

My three children aged 9, 12 and 14 take this product. All have different sleep issues, but it works for all of them. My 14 year old daughter only slept two hours a night and now after starting at 5mg and working up to 2mg (felt a bit sleepy all day after a period of time) she has at least seven hours. I’m a 45 year old female who hasn’t slept through the night in at least 4 years 🙁 I’ve tried every wellness supplement or practice with no help. I’m studying bioidentical hormones, but While I’m working on it, I’ve decided to try melatonin. I like that it’s a lower dose than most melatonin supplements. I try to stick to the physiological levels of things when it is possible 1mg is more than physiological, but I’m going with that for now 🙂 When I take this I fall asleep faster and every time I wake up I’m less on my feet. Still not 8 hours straight, but maybe 6 hours with 2-4 quick wake-ups. It may sound awful, but it’s much better than if I don’t take it!

use a pill splitter to cut them in four and take 0.25mg most nights (I try to have a “medicinal vacation” so my body doesn’t forget to worry about making its own melatonin). It gives me the level of melatonin I would have had at 30 (I am now 68). I use other measures to support my sleep (relaxation time, meditation, dim/orange light, etc.) rather than relying on a huge dose of melatonin which by itself usually doesn’t work so well.
