was looking for a vegan prenatal DHA and I trust this brand so that’s all I’ve taken since I got pregnant. Unfortunately, they changed the gel cap from a thin, oblong, red one to a more round, transparent one. The transparent capsule lets the taste show through, which unfortunately is fishy! Makes sense, considering it’s seaweed, but that taste combined with the rounder shape makes it harder to swallow and sometimes I gag. Honestly, I’m dreading taking them now, but I trust the brand, so I’ll continue until my due date which can’t come soon enough!

Re: this item, no problem with the bottles. It is a non-fish source of DHA, with a naturally lower amount of DHA. But it is an alternative to try as it has no fishy aftertaste etc. May re-order this item from this manufacturer next time as there is a newer version of this same product (with better/higher concentration).

love this prenatal DHA product! It tastes very light unlike all the other fish oils I have taken which is very helpful when you are pregnant and already dealing with nausea and stomach upset from fluctuation hormonal. The fishy smell/flavor is almost undetectable. Personally, I haven’t had any of the fishy after burp issues that come with most fish oil products. Also, works great if for some reason you choose to open the capsule and mix the contents with some juice rather than taking the capsule as is. Plus, I love that it contains DPA – studies show it has better cardiovascular and anti-platelet effects than EPA, which is extremely important during certain stages of pregnancy.
