   am really satisfied with this vitamin c. it’s supposed to be easier to absorb (vitamin c should be taken on an empty stomach) and this one doesn’t hurt my stomach at all! has a bit of spiciness if you hold it in your mouth for more than a second but other than that it’s great!

   I have a subclinical deficiency of vitamin c and I’m taking this along with normal ascorbic acid to try to optimize my levels as soon as possible. The research on this form is good and shows better absorption compared to other forms.

    Vitamin C is the basic vitamin for everyone. I can’t have fruit (cause a lot of sugar). so vitamin C here’s the way and yes it’s helpful with protein and builds a collagen base. and Immune because our body for this time must be strong.     500mg is better as we can control how much we take. With Pureway is also a better formula for vitamin c as the body can absorb more the nutrition.

    Dr.s Best are very high quality products. This C shape allows the body to have sustained levels of vitality. vs. I really felt it helped make my nails stronger (this was unexpected) and our son says it helps him sleep a little better as it helps the adrenals and their cortisol production.

    There are many forms of vitamin C available (ascorbic acid, sodium ascorbate, calcium ascorbate, liposomal vitamin C, etc.) but there is no convincing evidence that one is much better than another. For example, natural vitamin C, such as that in rose hips, is the exact same compound, L-ascorbic acid, found in most synthetic vitamin C supplements. An absorption efficiency of one hundred percent is observed when ingesting vitamin C in doses up to 200 mg at a time. Higher doses (>500 mg) result in a lower fraction of vitamin C absorbed as the dose increases. Once plasma vitamin C concentrations reach saturation, additional vitamin C is largely excreted in the urine. Therefore, we must pay attention to quantity, not just quality. To be sure to get daily vitamin C requirements, a supplement providing about 50 mg to 100 mg of vitamin C is sufficient for most adults and is fairly safe. Clinical trials published in the April 21, 1999 issue of the Journal of the American Medical Association. He concluded that 200 mg per day is the maximum amount of vitamin C that human cells can absorb, making a higher daily dose unnecessary. Be aware, however, that regularly taking more than 500 mg of vitamin C daily (which will saturate your blood with vitamin C) may increase your risk of developing cataracts (the clouding of the lens of your eye) and taking more than 1,000 mg a day may also increase your risk of kidney stones. Diarrhea can result from a single dose of more than 2000 mg for an adult and lower amounts for children. Also be aware that since vitamin C is an acid, products formulated in capsules or tablets may be safer for your teeth than high dose liquids, powders (mixed with liquids), chewable tablets or gummies.
