Good product! I had been taking it for a month along with other vitamins and started feeling better after a month. I now have a high energy level. Zinc has an immune boosting effect, so I use it when I get sick with colds, flu, etc. During the illness, my doctor prescribed me a double dose. It works very well. Solgar manufactures high quality products! I take it in the morning on an empty stomach. But it can cause nausea. If so, take it with breakfast. Remember to test and verify that you have a zinc deficiency before taking it.

I was looking for a low dose zinc supplement that was pretty clean in terms of additives. I opted for this one, but cut the pills in half with a pill cutter to get a daily dose of 11mg. They cut very cleanly with the pill cutter. I don’t know why zinc products tend to only be sold in high doses. More is not necessarily better.

Worth every penny! Zinc picolinate in particular is easily absorbed by the body and this is the reason why it only contains 22mg per tablet. Eat with food and take with a glass of water to reduce the likelihood of nausea, as zinc causes nausea in many people. Highly recommend!
