Vitamin C is a water soluble nutrient well known for its vital role in the immune system. Vitamin C is also necessary for the production of collagen (a structural protein in connective tissue) and is therefore important for skin, bone, and joint health. Vitamin C is needed for amino acid metabolism, neurotransmitter synthesis, and the utilization of many nutrients, such as folic acid and iron. It is also a highly effective antioxidant that can protect the body’s cells and molecules from damage by free radicals and reactive oxygen molecules generated during normal metabolism and exposure to environmental stressors. This product supplies Calcium Ascorbate, a buffered form of Vitamin C that is bioavailable and non-acidic; it is enhanced with Bioflavonoids, which work synergistically with Vitamin C.
Some scientific evidence suggests that consumption of antioxidant vitamins may reduce the risk of certain forms of cancer. However, FDA has determined that this evidence is limited and not conclusive.

The quality of this product is superb, Vitamin C is well known for its vital role in the immune system. the size of the tablet is quite large, the packaging is large and durable. The effect is superb. Fairly bitter but tolerable taste. Vitamin C is also necessary for the production of collagen, so it is important for healthy skin, joints and bones. I take 1 tablet a day of 1000mg, it gives me strength and boosts my immunity.

These are high quality supplements that I expect from the Now brand. There seems to be a misunderstanding with people regarding math and fundamentals of matter. If you want something that’s a whole gram PLUS several hundred mg of other ingredients (bioflavonoids), they’re going to be big. Are they huge? No. If you are used to eating real food, a hamburger or a sandwich, you regularly swallow bites much larger than this. It’s all in your head. I swallow them with 5 or 6 other supplements I take. Don’t think about pills. Think of a thick, juicy steak as you swallow. If you can’t do this, get pills with less vitamin C and take more. Don’t complain about a company that sells you exactly what you asked for. And remove the stars for that? It is simply wrong.
