bought this Now BioCell Collagen supplement for the health of my skin, hair and nails. I noticed a marked improvement in the elasticity and texture of my skin. My nails are stronger. have used both types of collagen, type II and types I and III separately, as I have read that it is better to have them separately. I had joint pain in my knee and even before the end of the bottle I could feel an improvement in my pain. Of course, in addition, I saw a doctor who told me that it was good to introduce type II collagen as I got older.

First off, Biocell Collagen II is a proprietary type of type II collagen licensed from several different supplement brands – so I buy it based on price. There is nothing special about one brand over another if they just pack the same BioCell Collagen II. That said, NOW’s offering in this space is good (but I’m not brand loyal). We are buying this for a senior dog with arthritis, as a few studies have found modest benefit for the joints. Be aware that it is derived from chicken, so it is not vegan, and I might be hesitant to use it in dogs with chicken allergies.

Type II collagen is very good for the joints but the BioCell is quite expensive, I take a webber naturals product called Advanced Collagen + NEM, it has UC-II collagen and it’s not as expensive as the BioCell plus you get the benefits of natural eggshell membrane which contains lots of nutrients that are good for the joints so overall this is a great product to help with joint stiffness and flexibility.

bought this Now BioCell Collagen supplement for my mother, for her knees. I bought NOW products because they are GMP (Good Manufacturing Process) quality. GMP regulations require a quality approach to manufacturing, allowing companies to minimize or eliminate instances of contamination, confusion and errors. This protects the consumer from buying a product that is not effective or even dangerous. I have never been disappointed with their products. She took it for about a month and noticed a slight overall improvement in her arthritis pain. It may take a few months to see if it makes a noticeable difference. If it improves mom’s joint health and decreases arthritis damage, I’ll be very happy. The capsules are a little big, but no problem swallowing the pills and capsules
