L-Lysine is an essential amino acid which must be obtained from the diet as the body can’t produce it on its own. Proteins are made from long chains of smaller molecules known as amino acids. Protein makes up the structure of all cells and tissues in the body, including muscle tissue, internal organs, tendons, skin, hair and nails.
