What is PEA+ Sport?
PEA+ Sport utilises a clinically studied form of palmitoylethanolamide (PEA) called Levagen+. PEA is a fatty acid amide that occurs naturally in the body and is produced as a biological response to inflammation, acting upon the endocannabinoid system, in particular PPARα, GPR55 and CB1 receptors. In this way PEA has similar effects to the compound Cannabidiol (CBD). CBD supplements cannot currently be approved by Informed Sport as a legally manufactured CBD supplement sold in the UK & EU must be derived from the cannabis plant, which means there will always be small traces of THC and other cannabinoids present, which are banned by the World Anti-Doping Agency. The fact is CBD presents a risk to professional and competing athletes; PEA+ Sport is a well-documented, safe and legal alternative.

Why is ours better?
Standard PEA is not effectively absorbed in the stomach. Our PEA+ Sport formulation uses Levagen+, a form of PEA enhanced with award winning Lipisperse technology to increase absorption and bioavailability by 1.8 times, leading to a higher active load of PEA.
