What is Doctor’s Best Proteolytic Enzymes?
Doctor’s Best Proteolytic Enzymes provides a broad spectrum of vegetarian proteolytic enzymes that provide support for muscle, joint, and overall tissue health. Proteolytic enzymes aid the body in digestion and convert proteins into their constituent amino acids. Enzymes are required to facilitate many diverse chemical reactions in the body. Supplementing with proteolytic enzymes augments many metabolic functions performed by endogenously produced enzymes.
How does it work?
Doctor’s Best Proteolytic Enzymes is a broad spectrum high-quality proteolytic enzyme formula which includes a variety of plant, bacterial, and fungal proteases. The goal was to create a blend that works at a variety of pH levels to support the body’s enzymatic needs. Maintaining optimal enzymatic function is a key factor in supporting health and wellness. Proteases – types of enzymes whose catalytic function is to hydrolyze (break) protein linkages. Proteases differ in their ability to hydrolyze various peptide bonds. Bacterial proteases are generally optimally active in alkaline conditions, fungal proteases in more acidic conditions, and neutral proteases (from bacteria) are active at a neutral pHs. Bromelain – is a family of proteolytic enzymes derived from the pineapple plant. Bromelain has a variety of physiological mechanisms through which it exerts its effects. Papain – a proteolytic enzyme derived from the unripe papaya. Traditionally used in combination with bromelain. Serratiopeptidase – This proteolytic enzyme has been shown to be more powerful than the proteolytic enzymes produced in the pancreas, chymotrypsin and trypsin. Fungal amylase – an enzyme derived from the fungus Aspergillus oryza. Breaks down carbohydrates, such as starch, and glycogen. Lipase – the main enzyme responsible for breaking down fats. Lipases hydrolyze triglycerides (fats) into their component fatty acid and glycerol molecules.

..so good, that I gave the rest of the bottle (more than half) to my mother who has bigger intestinal health issues, after realizing it worked :)!!! The quality of this product has proven to be amazing, benefiting Thee complete_complex, enzyme research system. I have since looked at each of these enzymes and the benefits separately. A combination of very strong proteolytic enzymes that has the effect of reducing major inflammatory problems. In our particular case, we ran out of Wobenzyme N and chose Doctors Best Proteolytic Enzymes as the available substitute and found it to be more effective than Wobenzyme N, which was quite a surprise. The dose taken was once daily 3 capsules on an empty stomach. This resulted in much less ankle swelling and much better sleep. We will continue to buy it until it stops working and so far for the last 4 months it continues to work well.

Doctor’s Best products are always reliable. Very good quality product. I myself noticed the difference if I took 3 capsules in the morning on an empty stomach. The ingredients are the best combination. The pack size could have been more like 120 or 180 capsules. And the last but very important is that they increased the price by more than 20%.
