Doctor’s Best Lutein with FloraGLO with Zeaxanthin maintains healthy visual function and supports macular pigment density. The lutein from FloraGLO supports skin health and helps prevent aging of the skin. It supplies high quality FloraGLO Lutein, a highly bioavailable, natural source of lutein. How does it work?
Most of the beneficial effects of xanthophylls, which are photochemical transformations of lutein, are ascribed to their ability to quench reactive oxygen species and scavenge other free radical substances that are either taken in from the environment or generated internally by natural metabolic processes. In vitro evidence for the free radical scavenging activity of lutein is found in studies of its effects on human lens epithelial cells. In one such study, cell cultures were exposed to ultraviolet (UV) light after pretreatment with lutein or alpha-tocopherol. Both nutrients were found to reduce UV-induced damage to lens epithelial cells. However, lutein was shown to have significantly higher photoprotective activity than alpha-tocopherol, demonstrating its potential as a high-powered antioxidant. Lutein has also been found to be an effective filter of “blue light,” another daily source of oxidative stress on the polyunsaturated fatty acid-enriched photoreceptors of our eyes.

so we have lutein and zea, so that’s good because they seem to work better together and can fight free radicals more effectively when combined. Additionally, they are the only dietary carotenoids that accumulate in the macula region, located at the back of the eye. And thanks to this, they have the ability to protect your eyes from harmful blue light, they reduce oxidative stress markers that damage the eyes, reduce the inflammatory process, protect your skin. To see some effects, you need to take at least 10-20mg daily for at least a month. Please do not take it with foods containing lutein (such as egg yolk as it already contains lutein). I am constantly trying several brands so far and they seem to be doing well. So I guess it’s enough to choose a brand that you can rely on. Cheers

This brand will generally offer wonderful results and improvements. I believe it is necessary to take a few months to see results. So far I feel good and I can take it once in a while while my parents will take it more regularly. Lutein is useful for the eyes and also improves the condition of dry eyes. I’m not sure this helps with computer work because my job involves the computer all the time. Vision is improved a bit but I don’t think it will really make a difference but I feel like I’ve forgotten to add artificial eye fluid sometimes lately which means I don’t feel pretty bad about dry eyes and forgot to notice it. This one has 20mg, so it’s actually great stuff on the side, so hopefully I’ll feel a lot better over time. Thanks for reading.
